At the end of my training, I discovered my fascination with Michelangelo's David sculpture. I desperately wanted to paint it, but in a more modern, explosive, and vibrant way. After several attempts to find the right visual language, this series has now come about.

My series Neo-Classics explores the archetype of the hero and the power to overcome challenges. Inspired by my own life story—shaped by courage, self-confidence, and faith in my Creator—I create monumental male figures as symbols of inner strength and resilience.

The series takes as its starting point the story of "David and Goliath" and Michelangelo's famous depiction of David. For me, David represents proof that true strength does not depend on physical size, but on wise decisions, courage, and confidence in one's own abilities.

I reinterpret classic marble and bronze sculptures with vibrant neon colors, striking black outlines, and cosmic backgrounds. In this way, I combine timeless art history with a modern visual language, giving the figures a powerful, almost living presence. For me, the cosmos symbolizes our infinity and our connection to creation.

The series is complemented by my reinterpretation of Alexandre Cabanel's Fallen Angel, which, as a counterpoint to the hero, explores strength and weakness, humility and pride, and the contrasting sides of human nature.

With Neo-Classics, I want to inspire people to face their own challenges with courage, confidence, and inner strength.
